1. Braid braiding
Hair braid braiding is to use eight spindles to weave on two tracks. There is no pile core at the four corners and the middle. The cross-section of the braided product is square. It is used for packing with small cross-section, but if the cross-sectional size is large, the appearance of the packing will be rough, the structure will be loose, and the compactness will be poor.
2. Jacket braiding
Jacket braiding is to use 8, 12, 16, 24, 36, 48, 60 and other spindles to weave on the second track. The jacket is determined according to the packing specifications. Generally, there are 1 to 4 layers of braiding. There is no fleece core in the middle, and the jacket is filled. Good compactness and strong sealing, but because it is a jacket layer, there is no fiber connection between the layers and it is easy to delaminate, so it is mostly used for static sealing or low-speed equipment.
3. Sandwich braiding
Sandwich braiding uses rubber or metal as the core, with fibers outside, one layer of one layer of braiding, the number of layers depends on the need, similar to the jacket braiding, the sandwich braiding has better compactness, high strength, good bending performance, and sealing Good performance, but like the casing structure, the surface layer is easy to fall off after wear. It is generally used for pumps and valves, and is rarely used for reciprocating equipment.
4. Heart-piercing braiding
Heart-to-heart braiding is woven with 8, 12, 16, 24, 36, 48, 60 spindles on three or four tracks. The cross-section is square, the surface is flat, good elasticity and wear resistance, high strength, and compact Good performance, the contact surface with the shaft is larger and more uniform than the braided type, and the gap between the fibers is small, so the sealing performance is good. After the surface layer is worn, the entire packing will not loosen, and the service life is long. It is a relatively advanced braided structure. When selecting packing, the braiding form of the packing should be selected according to the specific working conditions of the equipment, so that the packing can exert its proper sealing performance.
